Edgar TreviñoIf you happen to be in central Mexico for business or vacation or if you are searching for new fishing experiences in the area... Mexico City, Leon, Queretaro or any city in central Mexico, don't miss the opportunity to fish Zimapan Lake, a world class lake, different from most lakes in Mexico but loaded with Florida strain largemouth bass and make yourself a better fishermen by learning and practicing new bass fishing techniques and different ways of fishing. Give yourself a chance to become a better bass fisherman and have a new fishing experience.

Edgar TreviñoEdgar explains: "Zimapan Lake is conveniently located in central Mexico, at just two hours drive NNE from Mexico City and with its 40,000 acres, magnificent landscapes and fabulous fishing I'm proud to call it my home lake. It is an unusual impoundment in Mexico where you oftentimes fish depths from 20 to 60 feet. Most of the time it has very clear water that makes it an excellent place to learn and practice finesse techniques although fishing Texas style, crankbaits, jerk baits and top waters work wonders. Zimapan is located in the Sierra Madre and because of the geography where it was built, it is fishable 360 days a year. The strongest winds do not make big waves so any day you can safely fish between 20 and 50 fish although we have times of the year when a fisherman can get 100+ bass. While fishing you will be surrounded by breath taking views of vertical cliffs and semi-arid mountains typical of the outer limits of the Sierra Madre. The lake holds lots of 3 to 6 lbs. largemouths and there are many 7 to 10 pounders as well. The lake record is 11 lb 8 oz caught in 2001. Fishing this lake is truly a new and different fishing experience for most bass fishermen.

We fish in a 2008 TR-186 Triton bass boat rigged with an Optimax 150HP. We offer all inclusive trips in first class accommodations. we can pick you up and drive you personally to the lake, if you are in Mexico City or anywhere else and you have transportation limitations. sI will be glad of assisting you. Trips are of one, two or more fishing days. It is perfect for business persons in Mexico. Just arrange for arriving to the lake on a Friday by business close and leaving on Sunday night or even Monday early in the morning and you'll be at home or office Monday morning. We can arrange for driving you to the Queretaro, El Bajío or Mexico City international airports. For safety and convenience, we only take two fishermen per boat. Larger groups will be split in other new Triton bass boats for more personal attention and comfort while fishing. If you don't know how to fish I will teach you how to do it the right way. If you are a seasoned fisherman, come and enjoy a fishing to remember."

Zimapan has been Mexico's best kept bass fishing secret
and now I'm ready to share it with you.
Hope to take you fishing soon!
